NZAG APPLICATION

Overview

In 2024 the Taranaki Classical Guitar Summer School (TCGSS) is offering a performance opportunity and masterclass for two university level classical guitarists. Applications are invited from aspiring professionals of classical guitar to perform a 25 minute program each at TCGSS 2024.

The TCGSS will provide free registration to all events held as part of the school, billeting for the duration of the school, and a $200 performance fee each for the successful applicants. The summer school is unable to offer travel costs to New Plymouth.


Eligibility

Applications will be accepted from New Zealand citizens or New Zealand permanent residents of any age.


Applicants must be at a tertiary level or equivalent. Applications from classical guitar majors at tertiary institutions will be favoured.

Applications must be received by midnight (NZST) Friday 29 September 2023. Applications sent later than this deadline will not be accepted. 

Applicants will be notified by mid October 2023.

    • Program 25 minutes maximum (time includes all gaps between pieces).
