THE RIGHT HAND
By John Couch
Rhythm is king, sound is queen and together they make music.
A solid right hand is the guitarist’s most valuable asset when producing both rhythm and sound. This workshop will explore right hand technique and tone production. It will cover some of the do’s and don’ts, how to gain a relaxed posture to gain maximum efficiency of movement and the art of playing with the fingernails to get the best sound possible from your guitar.
What do guitarists do when they break a nail (apart from cry)? Nail care maintenance and solutions are an important subject area to all guitarists also covered within this workshop, along with a discussion on selecting the right string(s) for you and your guitar.
