BASIC ENSEMBLE SKILLS
The week is going to be a lot of fun for all, particularly because we start each day playing music with others (one of my absolute favourite things of being a musician). But playing in an ensemble requires a slightly different skill set than solo playing. This workshop is ideal for beginner guitarists who are somewhat new to ensemble playing – offering insights to not only survive the experience, but to thrive and enjoy it (and hopefully come back).
Three main areas of discussion will cover; filtering/backing-filling, counting and the critical role of the pencil.
